West Yellowstone
After spending Thanksgiving with my extended family in Connecticut, I took the long trip to West Yellowstone, Montana for my first on snow camp of the year. While I would have liked to be skiing sooner in the year the conditions are great here, and there is another 4-8inches on snow in the forecast. The first few workouts on snow are always a bit awkward, however I can already feel that I have made big improvements in ski technique and general fitness. The goal for this camp is to readjust to snow skiing and solidify ski technique and shooting skills before the most important races of season.

November in Fort Kent and A Look Ahead
November often feels like the longest month of the training year, and for good reason. The dwindling daylight, difficult workouts, and the cold, snowless landscape can really wear on your good spirits. November also brings the last chance to improve before the racing season kicks into gear. For the next 2 months my schedule looks like this:
Present-November 26th: High Intensity Dryland training in Fort Kent
November 28th: Travel to West Yellowstone Montana for on snow training camp
December 12th: Travel from West Yellowstone to Minnesota for IBU Cup trials
December 21st: Travel home for Christmas
I am really looking forward to getting on snow, and beginning the race season.
