Final Week of of Utah Camp

The final week of training camp here in Park City, Utah is focused on intensity combo training. (skiing fast and shooting) At the end of the week I will be starting in two rollerski races with the Senior National team. There races will be an excellent test of my fall preparation, in addition to showing me what I need to work on before the real racing starts in about two months. Dryland training is beginning to be a bit of a grind, however it is encouraging to know that I will be skiing in a little over a month.

Utah 2011

After an early departure from Portland my teammates and I arrived in Utah for a month-long high altitude training camp. We will be staying in Deer Valley Utah, and training in the surrounding mountains, and the 2002 Olympic Venue in Soldier Hollow. So far we have been experiencing typically awesome western weather complete with sunny bluebird days with cool mornings and full on summer afternoons. With the US Biathlon Team, US Ski Team and many on the country’s elite clubs all in town it should be a great camp. Pictures are from our hike this morning.
